Is Mando free to use?
No. Mando is a paid app, but we offer a free trial so you can try it out and see how much more effective it is than alternatives, and how much time it saves you.
Do all plans include the same app features?
Yes. Plans only differ by billing cadence. Pick the one that matches how you like to pay.
I've learned Chinese before, will I have to start all over again with Mando?
No. When you sign up, Mando asks about your level and learning history so we can set you up in the right place, without swamping you with words you’ve already learned elsewhere.
What can I expect learning with Mando?
A single, focused workflow: learn new words through SRS flashcards and stories, practice reading comprehension and comprehensible input via the stories and shadowing exercises, and stay consistent with progress tracking and analytics. If you use the full set of features, learners don’t need another app for day-to-day Chinese study.
Will there be an iOS and Android app?
Yes. We’re developing native iOS and Android apps and plan to release them in Q2 2026. For now, you can use Mando on your phone in any modern web browser (and of course on your computer) without issue.
Do I have to pay for the free trial or is it truly free?
It’s free during the trial period. You won’t be charged until the trial ends.
What happens if I cancel during the free trial?
You won’t be charged. You’ll keep access through the end of the trial.
When will I be charged?
After your free trial ends, you’ll be charged at the start of your billing period.
Does my subscription auto-renew?
Yes. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date.
Why do I need to give my payment details for a "free" trial?
It helps prevent abuse and ensures your subscription continues seamlessly if you keep learning after the trial.
