This policy explains what Mando collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal information.

Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account we collect your email address and authentication details handled by our auth provider. If you update your profile, we store the settings you choose (for example: study preferences).

Learning data

To provide spaced repetition and progress tracking, we store study activity such as card progress, due dates, and lesson completion signals.

Payment information

If you subscribe, payments are processed by Stripe. Mando receives limited billing metadata (for example: subscription status) but does not store your full card number.

Technical data

Like most apps, we receive basic technical information such as device/browser details, IP address, and logs needed to keep the service secure and reliable.

How we use information

  • Provide the app (sign-in, lessons, reviews, saving progress).
  • Maintain safety and prevent abuse.
  • Operate subscriptions and account billing status.
  • Debug issues and improve reliability.
  • Communicate with you about support requests and account notices.

Sharing

We share data with service providers only as needed to run Mando:

  • Supabase for authentication and database hosting.
  • Stripe for payments and subscription management.
  • Vercel for application hosting and delivery.
  • Sentry for error monitoring to help us find and fix bugs.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect Mando and our users.

Cookies

Mando uses cookies and similar technologies primarily for authentication (keeping you signed in) and site operation.

Data retention

We retain account and learning data while your account is active. We may keep limited records as required for compliance or security. You can request deletion as described below.

Your choices

You can request an export or deletion of your account data by emailing hello@mandochinese.com. We generally respond within 7 business days.
